The Anchorage
The west side of Christmas is a world class anchorage which is flat calm between April through October. Between November to March, the anchorage is still very calm but it is swell season then and during that time you can expect good conditions on the boat but a very gradual rise and fall with the winter swell. It is never choppy or rolling. Fanning has a deep water harbor on the west side and is an excellent anchorage year round.
Bonefish
Christmas is known as a world class fishery for bonefish. There are crystal clear flats stretching for miles, and the beautiful weather make Christmas Island the ideal spot for anglers whether you are a fly fisherman or spinning tackle angler. Fanning Island offers bonefishing opportunities every bit as good as Christmas Island. We have two skiffs and access to the best guides on the island.
Giant Trevally
Fanning and Christmas are both excellent spots for GT fishing. Whether by fly or popper, there exists an excellent fishery on both islands for this big game. There are excellent spots in the flats area of the lagoon as well as the edge of the reef extending around the island.
Blue Water Big Game
Both Fanning and Christmas Island have blue water fisheries for Wahoo, Yellow Fin Tuna, and Billfish. The Wahoo and Yellowfin grounds are within one mile from shore and huge bait balls can be seen as little as 800 yards from shore. This is the pacific at it's best, and you can be living the adventure.
Tackle
We have a full range of tackle available for trolling and casting for groups up to 5. We also have two tenders, a 14 foot center console Boston Whaler with a 40 horsepower Yamaha outboard and an 18 foot Nautico Catamaran with a 115 horsepower Yamaha outboard. We provide experienced guides on every foray.
