About Captain Chuck Corbett

Chuck Corbett has been living in Kiribati since 1979. Although originally from Costa Mesa, California, he has lived in Kiribati long enough to achieve residency.
He spent 28 years exploring, sailing, surfing,fishing and diving almost all of the islands, which cover a vast expanse of the central Pacific stretching from the Gilbert Islands to the west, the Phoenix Islands in the center and the Line islands to the east.
Chuck has 20 years boating experience and has made many offshore passages as a Captain. He is a PADI Divemaster, and an excellent fishing guide and surfer.
In 2003, Chuck began chartering his Yacht, the Tuaraoi, as a family run business. He has hosted many avid saltwater sportsmen over the years, and continues to improve and add to the great experience of his live-aboard operation.
